STAY TO PLAY POLICY & EXEMPTION INFO
18's Southeast Qualifier & U17 Invitational is a “stay to play” event. In order to participate in the tournament, all teams are required to book their lodging through our housing partner, Team Travel Source (TTS). Any reservations booked through a third party provider (i.e. hotels.com, Expedia, Hotwire, etc.), booked directly with the property, or through any other method other than through Team Travel Source will NOT fulfill the lodging requirement and those teams WILL NOT be placed in the tournament*.
The following situations are approved exemptions to the stay to play policy.
USING POINTS FOR A FREE ROOM
If you have enough points to redeem them for an entirely FREE stay, you are allowed to do so. Please book the room through the hotel directly and upload a copy of your reservation showing that points were used to book your entire stay to the online form below. Please make sure to list the athletes name on your email so they are an approved exemption. Please note that just ‘receiving points’ for staying at a hotel does not qualify for an exemption. You must be redeeming for an entire free stay.
LIVES WITHIN 75 MILES OF THE PLAYING FACILITY
If your team practice facility is within 75 miles from the venue, you are not required to stay in a hotel. The location of the team's primary/posted practice location will be used when determining mileage validation. This must be able to be verified through mapquest.com.
STAYING WITH A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER THAT LIVES WITHIN
75 MILES OF THE PLAYING FACILITY
If you are staying with a family member that lives within 75 miles from the venue, you are not required to stay in a hotel. This must be able to be verified through mapquest.com.
MILITARY/GOVERNMENT DISCOUNT
If you are able to get a lower rate with a military or government discount, this will be accepted. Please book the room through the hotel directly and upload a copy of your reservation showing that a military/government discount was used to book your entire stay to the online form above. Please note, the hotel will require the military or government ID to be presented upon check-in, please have this information when you arrive.
*The DEADLINE to submit an exception is 30 days prior to the event.
